Blue Sky Communities _ CASL partnership

Blue Sky Communities and CASL have successfully partnered to develop affordable communities across Florida, with five completed and three more under construction. Blue Sky Communities, a Tampa-based developer, specializes in developing affordable housing communities using the Federal Housing Credits program. CASL, a Sarasota-based non-profit, is a permanent supportive housing service provider for people with a mental health diagnosis or developmental disabilities. Since 2017, this partnership has led the way by coupling case management supportive services tailored to the individual’s needs and permanent apartment-style housing. Individuals can thrive independently and become active members of our community.

Supportive housing focuses on those populations who are or who may become homeless, with one or more of the following conditions:

    • mental health diagnosis
    • diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities
    • workforce housing for working families who are low-income
    • elderly
    • veterans
    • those emerging from domestic violence

CASL’s on-site housing support team ensures tenants have access to necessary services, including transportation and access to essential healthcare services.

Blue Sky / CASL communities: 

The Blue Sky, CASL partnership has yielded incredible results already, and they can be seen in the completion of five apartment-style communities in Sarasota, Fort Myers, Orlando, Lakeland, and Punta Gorda. We are incredibly proud of the service we can render and look forward to providing services to an ever-growing population.
