Our Programs
In 2019, the National Alliance to End Homelessness reported that more than 567,000 people are experiencing homelessness in the United States. Florida has the nation’s third-largest population of people suffering from homelessness: 28,328 people. In Sarasota and Manatee counties alone, 1,135 people were identified as homeless in 2019. Through strategic partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies, CASL is able to utilize resources to maximize impact in the communities we serve. We are grateful to our partners who make it possible to deliver the services needed to serve CASL clients.
Recovery-Centered Housing Approach
For many adults experiencing homelessness, the path forward requires more than a roof overhead. Substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and trauma are among the most common barriers our clients face — and addressing them is central to CASL’s mission.
• Access medication-assisted treatment and psychiatric care
• Participate in peer recovery support groups and coaching
• Develop daily living routines that reinforce sobriety and emotional wellness
• Build employment readiness and financial stability as pillars of lasting recovery

Treatment & Recovery Support
At CASL, we know that lasting stability requires more than a roof overhead. We integrate behavioral health treatment, recovery support, and life skills development directly into our housing model — helping residents address the root causes of homelessness while building the independence needed to thrive long-term.
