Our Programs

In 2019, the National Alliance to End Homelessness reported that more than 567,000 people are experiencing homelessness in the United States. Florida has the nation’s third-largest population of people suffering from homelessness: 28,328 people. In Sarasota and Manatee counties alone, 1,135 people were identified as homeless in 2019. Through strategic partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies, CASL is able to utilize resources to maximize impact in the communities we serve. We are grateful to our partners who make it possible to deliver the services needed to serve CASL clients. Here are four of the largest programs provided alongside our partners:

Case Management & Life Skills

Support services for  individuals who experience homelessness or struggle with mental illness, trauma, disabilities, or co-occurring disorders.

SHIFTS Programs

Sheriff’s Housing Initiative Facilitating Transient Services (SHIFTS) is a 90-day program to achieve housing sustainability for homeless adults with serious mental illness.

Transitions Program

A 90-day program to reintegrate post-release incarcerated individuals into the community and reduce recidivism rates by providing supportive housing.

Additional Programs
